Bulletin — June 16, 2019

We’ve got summer on the brain! If you’re interested in volunteering for Summer Slam, our amazing week-long day camp ministry, please stay after the service for a brief information meeting in the upper room.

Thank you to everyone who helped with the set up and clean up last Sunday for our potluck and budget meeting. Your willingness to volunteer was greatly appreciated!

Our Condolences to Tor & Shelley Hallberg on the passing of Tor’s father. Please remember the family in your prayers as they grieve.

Please pray for Don Herman who has been in the Walkerton Hospital.

Please pray for Larry Kreuger as he faces some health concerns.

Please pray for Adrianna Martin’s mother, Corrie, as she settles into a new home. Pray for her health and well-being.

Please pray for Vern & Holly Dyck as they prepare for a short-term mission trip to Africa at the end of the month.

Congratulations to Jasmine & Brett Waechter on the birth of their daughter, Genevieve Melody, on June 1. A new granddaughter for Verlie & Doug Koch!

Congratulations to Jerry & Linda Dunham who welcomed a new granddaughter, Hope Elizabeth, born to their daughter Nicole and her husband Randall Benbow.

After meeting in person with two applicants for the Associate Pastor role, the Search Team decided to pursue one of them. The candidate is meeting with John Cressman as the next step in the process before final approval by Ministry Council. Please be praying for wisdom and discernment as we hire a part-time pastor of adult discipleship.

Some changes are being made to increase our security. We are no longer comfortable leaving the main doors unlocked if less than two staff members are in the building. If you require immediate assistance, the care line is always open (519-379-1752) or you can call the office at 519-364-1823. Either Marie (ex21) or Alanna (ex32) are usually in the building until 4:00.

Please join with us every Monday to pray. Set your alarms to 5:14 a.m. or p.m. each Monday and let’s come together to pray for our church, our vision, and our leadership.

Join the HMC Bible Book Club! Find motivation to do daily devotions, as well as opportunity to contribute to discussions about what you’re currently reading, and what has challenged you. Please consider joining! Go to https://www.facebook.com/groups/HMCBBC/ to join.

Enjoy some music at Carrick Camp tonight. Come out at 7:00 p.m. for the Vocal Legacy Concert. See the schedule posted in the foyer for all the upcoming events at the camp.
