Police Check
Hanover Police Services – for anyone covered in their jurisdiction in the Town of Hanover.
You will need to apply in person at the Hanover Police Station.
Items you will need:
- The application must be printed from https://www.hanover.ca/file-download/id/XIYOvQ63-WodN8aLfscKEg, completed and brought in person. Be sure to request the Vulnerable sector check.
- The applicant must produce two pieces of appropriate identification confirming name, date of birth and address. One piece of identification presented must include a photo. eg. Drivers licence, passport, birth certificate.
- The signed Police Check Letter from HMC.
- $10.00 in cash or debit. Please submit the receipt to the HMC office for reimbursement.
West Grey Police Services – Applicants must reside within the Municipality of West Grey.
You will need to apply in person at the West Grey Police Station in Durham, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. –11:30 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. – Closed on holidays. It is suggested you call ahead to 519-369-3046 before attending the police station as times can be subject to change.

- The application must be printed from https://westgreypolice.ca/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Police-Record-Check-Application-Form-June-2019.pdf, completed and brought in person. Be sure to request the Vulnerable sector check.
- The applicant must produce two pieces of appropriate identification confirming name, date of birth and address. One piece of identification presented must include a photo. eg. Drivers licence, passport, birth certificate.
- The signed Police Check Letter from HMC.
- $15.00 in cash (in exact change) or debit. Please submit the receipt to the HMC office for reimbursement.
Walkerton OPP – applicants must live in an OPP-policed community
You will need to apply online only at https://www.opp.ca/index.php?id=147&lng=en
This is a free service for Volunteers. Please request a Vulnerable Sector Check when prompted. Follow the instructions on their website to complete this process.
