This is wonderful news for our area. Now more than ever, funds need to be raised for this worthy cause. Lend your support by sponsoring someone participating in the hike. HMC EVENTS

Join us on tonight at 6:00 for another evening of prayer as we focus on the various committees within our church.

There will be a Ladies Social on Wednesday, April 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the upper room. Join in for a devotion and social time, followed by some crafting with Angie Bechtel as she leads the designing of some favours to hand out on Mother’s Day.

The Men in Action meet every Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. and would welcome anyone looking to join in as they cover a variety of topics relevant to men of all ages. A Men’s Breakfast and Work Bee is scheduled for Saturday, April 21. Let Mark Webb know if you plan on meeting with them at 8:00 a.m. at Cravings Restaurant. Following the meal, those who are able will return to the church to help with some outdoor spring cleanup.

The Young at Heart are welcoming Spring with a focus on healthy living as they gather on Thursday, April 12 at 11:00. ‘Aging well with Memory’ (Nutrition as Medicine) with special guest and registered dietician, Amy Dow and registered nurse, Maureen Zettler, from the Hanover Health Team. Hot luncheon will follow. $16 tickets are available in the foyer today.

Easter Breakfast The Missions Planning Team and Men in Action are partnering to host a breakfast on April 1 from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. to raise funds for the Bragg’s Bus Fund. Stan & Sally are our missionaries, serving at Saugeen First Nations. A bus is critical to their children’s ministry and all donations over and above the cost of the breakfast will go towards this need.

Can you help with the breakfast? The Men in Action are looking for a few more volunteers to help with serving and cleanup. Connect with Mark Webb.

OTHER THINGS OF NOTE

After two years of serving on the R.I.S.E. committee and journeying with the Nassar’s as they’ve settled into their new lives in Canada, the committee members have come to end of their obligation to the family. While many of them have built personal relationships with the family and will maintain those, the official connection to the resettlement ministry of HMC is over. Thank you to each team member for your tireless dedication to the family, and for being the light of Jesus in their lives.

Krista and her husband John, along with their three young children, are missionaries with Ethos in Tanzania, Africa. The Teen Challenge Choir will be leading our service on Sunday, February 25. Come and hear their powerful testimonies and enjoy their musical presentation. Following the service, plan to bring a crockpot of chilli and join us in the gym for a fun Chilli Cook-Off lunch which we will enjoy with the Teen Challenge men.
