Pray for our community. We are praying with faith for ten people to come to faith in Jesus this year through the ministries and people of HMC. May we have God’s wisdom, words, and courage to Gather and Go, and be used to reach our community. May we have God’s guidance as we seek to know how to reach out in our community through our Sunday services.

Daily Prayer Request – Wednesday, March 14, 2018

Pray for everyone who walks through our doors. Pray that they would encounter the transforming power of the Holy Spirit as they enter into our services; that they would be changed by the living Word of God, and that they would grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus as they serve, pray, and worship.

Solid Foundation 105: Follow Me – Be Baptized — Sermon Video

KEY IDEA: (Matt 7:24-27)

Matthew 7:24-27 New International Version (NIV)

The Wise and Foolish Builders

24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

3) It is a step in a deeper relationship
a) Baptism, as a response to relationship, is a Biblical pattern. (Acts 2:38-39)
