REIMAGINE is a generational family-oriented curriculum based on the values of imagination, play, reflection, and story. It has been designed for everyone: kids, youth, couples, singles, families, old and young alike. It requires a facilitator’s mind and pastor’s heart. It places you as the Priest of your own home! The goal is simple: be shaped like Jesus by participating in His story! There are seven main components that require a participation and self-motivation (see below). The components are interchangeable and adaptable. They don’t all need to be completed, or done in a specific order. Choose what will serve you and your family!

REREAD the big story

The BIG STORY was already shared at this week’s BEDTIME STORY. Reread a portion of the BIG STORY aloud and with conviction!

REVIEW the context

Imagine the setting, the history, the places and the people. Most importantly, what was God up to at this point in history? What had He already done? What was He about to do?

REENTER through the 2nd story

The 2nd STORY is an additional Bible story connected to the BIG STORY. It is a dramatic reimagining of the scriptures that relies on historical and literary research – exegesis for kids! The 2nd story is meant to be read aloud. With passion! Weave a picture with your tone and inflection. Do the voices. Set the scene. Reenter the story!

RETHINK in sacred sharing

Spend time in deep conversation. Practise the art of sacred sharing – and sacred listening. Give space for honesty. For doubt. Sometimes it is not about the answers.

RECREATE in sacred play

Spend some time in play! Jesus did! Use the story to jump into spontaneous and creative play! Let loose! Have fun! And let the Spirit shape you and your family through play.

RESPOND in sacred prayer

Respond to the Spirit in prayer and reflection. Share your burdens. Express your thoughts. Listen for Jesus. What is saying? What is he asking? Where is he leading?

REMAKE in a sacred meal

Reclaim the sacred Sunday family meal! Follow the challenge and fill your home with delicious godliness!
