Connecting

8-12 I thank God through Jesus for every one of you. That’s first. People everywhere keep telling me about your lives of faith, and every time I hear them, I thank him. And God, whom I so love to worship and serve by spreading the good news of his Son—the Message!—knows that every time I think of you in my prayers, which is practically all the time, I ask him to clear the way for me to come and see you. The longer this waiting goes on, the deeper the ache. I so want to be there to deliver God’s gift in person and watch you grow stronger right before my eyes! But don’t think I’m not expecting to get something out of this, too! You have as much to give me as I do to you.

—Romans 1:12 The Message

Prioritizing Connection

More that ever, it’s important to feel connected to your church family. We are working on different opportunities for you to embrace that will encourage connection in many different ways.

Stay tuned as we iron out the details and check back often to select the ways you’re going to be intentional about connecting with people in your community.

The HMC Penpal Project

Get paired up with another household and exchange letters! This is a perfect project for a time when we’re limited in how we can get together. Share about your day, your week, your life. Get to know someone in a brand new (old fashioned) way!

One-to-One

Grow in your faith and build intentional relationship with another person as you work through a study together. Pastor Kristina is recommending What if Jesus was Serious? by Skye Jethani. He takes a look at some of Jesus’ most demanding teachings in the Sermon on the Mount and pushes us to ask whether we’re really hearing what Christ is saying.

Discipleship

Discover a fresh way of looking at discipleship with our newly developed Discipleship manual.

Prayer

What would happen if we prayed continually? What would happen in our lives, the lives of our families and friends, in our governments, our countries, and our churches if we prayed enough that it looked like we never stopped praying? Would we see the power of the Holy Spirit working in and through our lives in a brand new way as prayer opens our hearts to the will of God for us? Come together with Pastor Dave for a monthly prayer meeting.
