HMC EVENTS

Our HMC AGM & Potluck is today after the service in A/B. Please plan to stay for the meeting to learn what’s going on in the life of our church. Members and non-members alike are invited to attend. Members must sign in at the table in the foyer before heading downstairs.

Jr/Sr Youth Shopping Trip to purchase items for Christmas stockings & baskets is on Friday, November 29. Every year, our youth deliver gifts to those stuck in the hospital over the Christmas season. Forms are available at the Welcome Centre, or download here.

Young at Heart will enjoy a special Christmas meal and entertainment on Thursday, December 12. Tickets will be available in the foyer next week.

Please join us for the Christmas Basket Making Night on Wednesday, December 4 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Help us put together baskets to be delivered to families from the Saugeen First Nation.

Our Annual Christmas Sleigh Ride is happening on Wednesday, December 11. Gather your friends and family and join us for this fun Christmas event.
We will soon be opening registration for the second term of the MIDWEEK Meal. We would love you to join us for this great ministry! Stay tuned.

PRAYER REQUESTS

Please continue to keep Sue McDougall and family in your prayers. She has been diagnosed with aggressive lymphoma and is currently undergoing chemo treatments.

Please pray for our Warming Centre as it continues this week. Pray for the volunteers and for the people who will frequent it.

WORDS OF THANKS

On behalf of the Hanover and Area Operation Christmas Child Team, thank you for your continued support. Thank you for all of your donations. They will go directly to needy children in developing countries. Together we make a positive impact in the lives of these children. They appreciate the love of God that you are sending their way.

HMC brought in over 150 boxes this year!

BRANCHING OUT

Our Warming Centre is up and running every Thursday from noon to 2:00, providing a place for those in need of warmth and company to enjoy a hot bowl of soup and friendly conversation. We are accepting donations of non-perishable food items that can be handed out to those who attend. These items can be dropped off outside the main office in the bin labelled HMC Pantry. Also needed are donations of bars of soap and small bottles of shampoo, as well as knitted goods. If you’d like to volunteer for this great ministry opportunity, whether it’s to hang out with our guests, to serve or clean up, or to make soup, please connect with Marcia Burt. There is a soup sign up at the Welcome Centre.

Hanover Heights is looking for donations of small hats, socks, and gloves/mittens that can be distributed to children who don’t have the necessary means to stay warm. These items can be dropped off outside the main office.

OPPORTUNITIES

We are still looking for volunteers to fill a few gaps. If you’d be willing to serve on the usher team, or if hospitality is something near and dear to your heart, please talk with Pastor Kristina.

Are you interested in helping us fill our freezer? We’d love to have a selection of home cooked meals we can hand out as blessings. Please connect with Pastor Lyndsay if you can help.

The snow is here and we will be keeping our eyes on the road. If the Hanover buses are cancelled, mid-week ministries (mid-week meal & sr youth) are also cancelled. We will do our best to list any ministry cancellations on our Facebook page as well as the website home page.
